In December last year we launched our Woven Academy for 15–16 year olds. We wanted to provide young adults with a good understanding of the work environment to build independence and self-confidence. An opportunity to explore career options and learn important key skills.
It is with absolute delight to announce we are moving into the final phase of the Academy’s 1st cohort journey and all 9 of our Wovenette’s will be graduating at the end of July!
Since joining Woven, our Academy have completed hours of training covering call handling skills, product and technical learning to support over 450 different clients across 11 sectors: regulated subjects such as data protection and fraud, and much more!
As part of their journey, they have received CV writing help and interview skills workshops, allowing them to build transferrable skills for opportunities outside Woven in the future.
Post-Graduation, the learning journey will continue with payments, absence management and strike training. We’re delighted to be able to support the team in building transferrable skills for use in whatever their chosen careers may be though offering them the opportunity to self-select additional modules from over 600 subjects in subjects such as estate agency; animal physiotherapy; marketing and much more!
Whilst working diligently towards the completion of their GCSE’s, the Academy have also maintained fantastic quality scores, consistently hitting over 90% month in, month out, with Destiny and Milly both receiving high street shopping vouchers as a reward for their efforts!
The Academy’s thirst for learning and their positive approach to change have resulted in improvements to scripts; training materials and the office environment – they have added so much value to the business with their commitment and zest for life and we can’t thank them enough.
